The year 2020 will be a moment of sincere reflection—thinking of family, friends, and working peers who were impacted by the pandemic. Our thoughts and our continuous prayers to our medical heroes, first responders, and the tenacity of small business and not-for-profits alike. Stay Strong!
We spent a lot of time sharing our thoughts on what “better is…” regarding our products and services last year. It’s a true internal mantra of how we challenge ourselves to get better each day in our member service, our member engagement, and our member delivery. We do not wish for you to spend unwanted time in a drive-thru…truly. This is why we continue to invest in time-efficient services where you can:
- Make an appointment online at the branch location of your choosing.
- Take a picture of your check using remote deposit capture to make a deposit.
- Speak to an employee through Live Video Banking—where you can open an account, make a transfer, apply for a loan, or even make a wire transfer.
- Use one of conveniently located ATMS/ITMs to assist with deposits or retrieve cash.
- Take advantage of free online and mobile banking platforms to transfer funds and check balances.
As we move into 2021 with greater optimism, FirstLight will continue to keep your health and financial security our top priority—proactively adopting member-friendly technology like “
Live Video Banking” to ensure we can meet your on-the-go financial needs.
In our new year, our team will share and show that we are more than a financial institution. We were so happy to partner with many area businesses to support The Great Khalid Foundation’s Thanksgiving Giveaway where we were able to serve 1,000 local families. We too learned it’s not enough. This is why as our community-minded Credit Union moves forward, we will donate $1.00 for every funded loan to the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank. We project this can have a positive impact of over 1 million meals in the next ten years. We can do this…but will need your support!
This is a community-driven initiative in the spirit of what we do best…people helping people. We know we can serve our communities in more ways than just financial services, and in this case, making a measured difference in food insecurity.
With our sights set on making bigger impacts in the lives of our members and the communities we serve, we welcome 2021 with optimism, hope, and strength.
Thank you for your continued membership!
Stay safe…stay strong!
