It is an honor for us to work with the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and help in any way possible. Fifteen of our employees took time out of their professional and personal schedules to make 2,000 sandwiches for immigrants passing through El Paso.  Here's their story . . .

Why We Do It:

In 2021, in our effort to continuously live our FirstLight mission of "Improve Lives. Achieve Dreams", we proudly announced our newest initiative, FirstLight Giving.  Moving forward, with every funded loan—that’s a mortgage, credit card, as well as an auto and personal loan too—we will donate $1.00 to the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and Casa de Peregrinos to combat food insecurity.  Over the next ten years, FirstLight projects making an impact of over one million meals to local families.  If you are in the market for a home improvement, auto, or any other type of loan, consider FirstLight and know that you are making a difference in the community!

On September 19, 2022, FirstLight presented El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank with a check for $5,859, which translates approx. 40,000 meals to combat food insecurity in our community.

 

This is a community-driven initiative in the spirit of what we do best…people helping people. At FirstLight, we recognize we are more than financial institution and, in this case, making a measured difference in food insecurity. Together we can make an even bigger impact!
